Roots to Blooms is a startup plant nursery based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Brad, the owner, established the nursery in his living room in September 2025. He was discouraged by how much houseplants cost in retail stores and wanted to make a change.
By making houseplants more affordable and accessible to everyone, we hope to inspire more people to bring greenery into their homes. Many people enjoy having plants because they provide a sense of comfort and peace. The joy of seeing a plant bloom is truly indescribable and one of the best things about having plants.
We strive to produce high-quality houseplants through propagation, a process where plants grow from cuttings. These cuttings are usually taken from a part of the plant that contains plant stem cells, such as a node. Our mission is to ensure that everyone can enjoy the beauty and benefits of plants at home.
